KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 12 — Naza Italia Sdn Bhd, the official importer and distributor for Maserati cars in Malaysia, today unveiled the Levante, a luxury sport utility vehicle (SUV).
Naza Italia vice-president Farid Sulaiman said the on-the-road price of the all-new Maserati SUV would be about RM800,000.
“The target market for the Levante are existing Maserati owners and it is now open for booking before the estimated launch of Levante in December this year,” he told reporters at a media preview of the Levante here today.
Malaysia is the first country in South East Asia where “Levante”, which means Mediterranean wind, has been unveiled, ahead of other countries.
“Based on the Quattroporte and Ghibli architecture, further refined for greater versatility, the Levante launch in December will make a strong entry into this market segment and live up to expectations,” said Farid.
The Levante’s distinct Italian styling is enhanced by Maserati design traits, with trademark radiator grille, slim tapered headlights and flowy streamlined lines – all typical of a high-performance car.
Naza Italia, a company under Naza Group, was granted the official rights by Maserati SpA to import and distribute the automobile brand in January 2009. — Bernama
